ABOUT ME (JULIA!)

JULIA CARIATI, CERTIFIED PASTRY CHEF 

Baking has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. What started out as making cupcakes and cookies for loved ones, turned into an Instagram account for sharing my creations with my family and friends. And that is where Julia's Sweet Treats was created. Since 2018 my business has evolved and expanded in ways I never thought possible, allowing me to reach and connect with so many people in unique ways. Learn more about my baking journey here :)

After graduating high school in 2020, I followed my passion to George Brown College, where I earned my Baking and Pastry Arts Management diploma in 2022. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in some of the best and well-known pastry and cake shops, (like Carlo's Bakery- with the Cake Boss himself) honing my craft and building my skills. It was during this time that I began growing my small business, offering my treats at local markets and connecting with community groups.

Though I initially specialized in custom cakes and cookies, I knew I wanted to expand my knowledge. In the summer of 2024, I had the incredible opportunity of travelling to France and Italy for a two-month program at world-renowned pastry institutions. At Ecole Nationale Superieure de Patisserie in France and La Scuola Internazionale di Cucina Italiana in Italy, I received my joint French and Italian Pastry Arts Diploma.

Since returning, my home-based business has flourished in ways I never imagined. With a brand new menu and expanded offerings, I’m proud to present a wide variety of delicious options for you to enjoy. Each creation is made with love, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I love making them.
